Concept Presentation Technique practice

Awkward name, I admit, but it pretty much sums up the idea.

After talking to Alan (and watching the Syd Mead Gnomon DVDs) I'm having a go at presenting a vehicle concept "in context" to see if it helps with the "toylike" problem I have.

Anyway, first steps presented here; thumbnails, value sketch and colour layout

Plane a Day 12/06/2012

A modern supercar-version of the old gyrocar idea  (it's not a hover car, it just balances on two wheels, which don't really show up from this angle)

Stealth Battleship Block-out

Just a basic blockout of the stealth battleship from Plane-a-Day 2 days ago, using the side and front/rear views in the sketch

This looked a bit short and fat, particularly compared to the original inspiration, WW2 battleships, so I stretched it a bit, which gives much nicer lines.

Plane a Day 08/06/2012

Today's offering:  A fold-up heli-pack based around 4 single-bladed rotors.

Please note - this product meets absolutely no safety regulations [mainly as a result of the 4 unguarded rotors spinning very fast a few inches from the users head]

Plane a Day 07/06/2012

Continuing yesterday's nautical theme, an anachronism-filled stealth battleship
I think this one will get a basic modelling go-over at least; the geometric "stealth" shapes should make it a lot easier on the geometry than the compound curves of yesterdays designs

Plane a Day 06/06/2012

Since it's the Summer break, it's time for the return of "Plane a Day"
And the first entry is a collection of multi-hulled warship doodles
