Plane a Day 26/08/2011

There's another arm on the side nearest the viewer, but it was omitted to increase the clarity of the drawing. As you might guess, there are various interchangeable "hands" available for different tasks.

Plane a Day 25/08/2011

To get back into the "Plane a Day" thing, I did my take on the Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues under the Sea

Plane a Day Catch-Up

Okay, there's been a bit of a delay in posting new "plane a day"s due to me being on holiday away from a scanner, so here's one big post of all of the missing ones.

1940's style bomber with gun-turrets in the front of the engine nacelles

If you're going to hunt Pleiosaurs, obviously you need a boat pulled by a trained Kronosaurus.

The original idea behind this was a replacement for wheelchairs, to do away with unsightly retrofitted wheelchair ramps on historic buildings.  However, the design suffers from 2 main drawbacks:
1.  The "Spiderchair" is rather bigger and more bulky than the wheelchairs it is meant to replace
2.  Anyone using a "Spiderchair" would be so darn creepy that it just wouldn't catch on.

If people refuse to go to church, then the church will just have to go to them... :/Evillaugh:

I quite liked the seating position from the "Spiderchair", so I decided to have another go with it.

I'm trying not to think about the logical inconsistencies in a flying warship using biplane for scouting duties.

Plane a Day 01/08/2011

Personal hovercraft crossed with pimped-out landrover.  For, I don't know, exploring particularly marshy swamps or something

Plane a Day 31/07/2011

Swooping lines for the future :D

Plane a Day 30/07/2011

For some reason, split tracks look more futuristic...  I guess it's because they're unfamiliar

Plane a Day 26/07/2011

Trying a Scott Robertson tutorial, and just starting with side views (on the basis that interesting profiles can then be developed)

Anyway, it reminds me of a fish for some reason...

Plane a Day 25/07/2011

There's nothing like Massive, improbably long lorries to say you're in the future

Plane a Day 24/07/2011

Took the cockpit from yesterdays design, and stuck it on a 1950s Werner von Braun style multistage rocket ship thingy

Plane a Day 23/07/2011

I just like the swooping main body (although I suspect it would make the cabin totally impossible to use)

Plane a Day 22/07/2011

Many dogteeth + Sharkmouth inlet = this! (apparently)
