hey Dan - yes, it works clearly, but maybe consider a greater variety of shots; a few more close-ups of specific actions etc. Obviously, the default back to the view of the room is a part of the inherent comedy - it creates anticipation and expectation in the audience - but, for instance, the reaction shots of the guy could be varied to include a close-up and likewise for the lamp when it interacts with the remote; just to keep it nice and dynamic.
